1. BIS Hallmarking
Every Auramika piece carries the BIS 6-digit alphanumeric Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) along with the BIS standard mark, jeweller mark, and karat purity, in compliance with the Bureau of Indian Standards (Hallmarking) Regulations, 2018 and amendments. You can verify any HUID on the BIS Care app or at bis.gov.in.
2. Karat & purity
- 22k gold — 91.6% pure (916 hallmark).
- 18k gold — 75.0% pure (750 hallmark).
- 14k gold — 58.5% pure (585 hallmark).
- Diamonds — IGI / GIA certified, with grading report supplied for stones above 0.30ct.
3. KYC & PMLA
Per the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002 and notifications by the Department of Revenue, jewellery transactions above prescribed thresholds require PAN-based KYC. We collect this only when applicable and store it under DPDP-compliant safeguards.
4. GST
All invoices include GST at the prevailing rate (3% on gold value + 5% on making charges, subject to change). Auramika is registered under GST and our GSTIN is printed on every invoice.
5. Insurance
Shipments are insured end-to-end through underwriters licensed by IRDAI. Atelier inventory is insured against theft and fire under Specialised Jewellers' Block Policies.
6. Consumer protection
We follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Country of origin (India), seller information, BIS hallmark details, return window, and grievance officer contact are disclosed on every product page and invoice.
7. Information Technology Rules
We comply with the IT Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including grievance redressal timelines (48 hours acknowledgement, 30 days resolution). Our Grievance Officer is reachable at grievance@auramika.in.
8. Data Protection (DPDP Act 2023)
We process personal data lawfully and only for stated purposes. See the Privacy Policy for purposes, retention, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
9. Lab certificates
Every diamond or gemstone above the threshold ships with its independent lab certificate (IGI, GIA, or SGL). Karat purity is restamped at our partner BIS-recognised assay centre before dispatch.
10. Anti-counterfeit
If a piece you receive does not match its HUID or certificate, we replace it free of cost and refund the full amount. Contact care@auramika.in immediately.
